I am. I used to have the AllPro trio in steel. Combined with a winch the front end was a pig.

If you're planing on getting the steel powder coated it's pretty much the same price as bare aluminum. You could rattlecan the steel but you're going to have to touch it up constantly.

You're going to "notice" that amount of sprung weight up front. Of course you'll get used to it quickly. Can't argue on the durability. With steel I used to just power through when I dragged on the skids. With Aluminum I'll back up and rethink things. Of course I don't do any high speed or reckless wheeling anymore.

 

Did you put them on at the same time as your winch?

 

I'm planning on getting raw steel. I'm afraid when the powder coat scratches off-road I'm never gonna be able to match the color again, I don't mind touching them up. Not gonna pay extra money for less durability

 

My sliders are bedliner, worst case scenario I grab the can in my workshop and touch it up for 2 seconds. Don't have to re-powder coat them

 

Did you use primer?

 

No, bumper and winch first, then skids. A few years later I sold the skids first, then the winch.

Edit: I did throw my sway bar in the trash a decade ago. So I'm definitely more susceptible to body roll with added weight.

 

Plus if I spray paint them myself I can get that nice hot pink color

 

I wonder how it'd look if I stripped my sliders of the bedliner and put on blue paint and blue skids and painted tow hook blue and eventually got front and rear bumpers in blue lol

Is that homemade? I've never seen little winglets stick out over the LCA's

Have you ever actually had to use them? Are they worth getting

Just the exhaust reroute I'm getting alone is gonna add confidence to my driving, I dragged the low part of my exhaust a little bit at Stoney lonesome because it couldn't clear
