I would suggest a link on the product page (the page where the product is shown), I still haven't found the instructions on the site, except by following a link I found on this forum.

And, as one who builds and sells product to the public, I know that instructions are a pain in the ___! There is no crack in the sidewalk narrow enough for some to step over, and when it is something we deal with on a daily basis all too easy to forget about when creating instructions!

Great point. Sometimes we are just too close to it to realize what isn't obvious.

Probably why most companies hire lawyers to put in all that legalize in the instructions. All it takes is one Darwin award candidate to get injured and sue the crap out of a company.

Yup. And it is not cheap to have a disclaimer written up to keep our butts safe.

Print the install instructions on the skid plates themselves. Trees saved and FedEx can't crush them.

While I don't disagree with you..The cross member is in there tight. The bolts didn't have any weight on them at all and could have been removed with little to effect on the trans, etc. Now, this may not be the case with everyone's truck either hence the reason I agree with you. I'm not sure you can remove one at a time as it makes it difficult to install the trans skid unless all four are out.

The four new/longer bolts do need to be in place and slightly protruding on the far side in order for the trans and t-case skids to slide on to them (instructions say this, too). I fact, I'm fairly certain you won't have the clearance/room to fit the longer bolts in if you first line up the skids (without having inserted the bolts first).

Then longer bolts are only included when purchasing the TC skid I would assume?

First: Skid plate mounted like a dream - Mobtown is doing a fantastic job, everything lined up perfectly! Very nice job guys!

On the instructions - evidently my browser/monitor doesn't extend to the bottom of the page, and if others haven't noticed the instructions at the bottom of the page perhaps I'm not the only one to look beyond the "main attraction". Perhaps just move the instruction tab to the top, or alongside the information??? However, I have to say I was very impressed with the build quality, and how well everything lined up and bolted on.

    Ray,

Thank you very much for the compliments.

Also, we discussed yesterday and we all agreed internally that the tab should go on the main page moved up top for more visibility.

I tried doing mine today, fuck this.
I'll get my mechanic to do it/help.

Tried just doing the front one with it up on ramps, thing is way too heavy to do alone, even on the ramps its a pain in the ass to get under it with the heavy ass skid.

Besides I had to check this thread as I can't figure out what bolts where for the rest of the stuff. And I'm curious why we're supposed to reuse factory stuff for the front and not getting new stuff as we're adding more steel so the bolt won't be threaded in as much.

@Mobtown Offroad any way to get the instructions again?
The stuff on the site and the links here for said instruction doesn't work. Says page not found.

I think you are trying to hard. It really isn't that bad. Also, attached are instructions. I took them down because someone said they were unclear. So I have been working on going through them and trying to improve what he said didn't make sense. They are all done now and I am working on getting them back online.

Have a drink and calm down. I literally killed the link today to improve them. Working on getting them back on now. Next time you have an issue, email or call me. Don't post on the forum. I try my best to not work 24/7 and do occasionally have to get out from behind the keys every now and again.
