What are those two cross member brackets for ( that you need to remove). Are they structural at all?

They are thin, stamped steel from the factory that hold the OEM skid plates in place. They do not provide any structure as long as you bolts our skid plates back on. Our skid plate ties in the front radiator support with the underside of the truck

Thank you for this picture... it was late when we started and were trying to install the skid over the stock subframe looking brackets.

    Yep... Made for interesting words!

I was installing my front skid plate this afternoon driver side middle bolt won’t catch the threads. Do you guys have any idea how I can fix this?

I had the same problem with both middle ones. Use a floor jack and put a piece of wood to protect scratching the skid. Jack up the middle. Doesn't need much but worked for me. Loosen outside bolts just a little will help.

Looks like its hitting the diff? Mine did the same thing but thought it was a fluke thing. I used large galv washers so I wouldn't have to send it back but mine wasn't that much and I had plenty of threads catching. I contacted them but they never had that problem. Now twice? Here's mine.

That is odd. We've shipped hundreds with no changes but you're the third person to have it hit...

Is the plate installed? If so, can you remove and give me the height from the plate to the top side of the post that is to short? That is the only thing that could have happenedz those tubes were cut to short.

I will get you measurements on mine but I used washers to make it fit and it was both sides for me.

That photo is your passenger side correct? My passenger side works perfectly driver side is about 3/8 of an inch too short to even grab a thread
