I've seen quite a few impressive mods on this site by people with a lot of motivation and skill. This is not one of those threads. This is a simple mod that takes very little effort, no skill, and doesn't cost much.

I am getting ready to haul some stuff in the back seat area with the seats folded down. The problem is that the plastic is slippery and my stuff would be sliding around.

As it turns out I recently bought a few tool cabinets and the rubber liner material for the drawers. The material comes on a roll and is 22.5 inches wide which happens to be roughly the width of the plastic cargo area with the seats folded down. It's also tacky so it stays put when you roll it out.

So...I cut a piece of the drawer liner material long enough to cover the seat backs and hang over each side about three inches. I placed the material in there and boom...no more stuff sliding around. And you can roll it back up and stuff it behind the seat when you put it back up.

Sorry, I was too lazy to take a picture.

Had to sell my 17 Tacoma for a tow rig in order to pull my new home. Still here for a bit to keep in touch.

You lie like a cheap toupee.

You had to use a measuring instrument of some type AND a sharp tool. One we don't let children use because they have no skill.

Yet you went all Martha Stewart on us. :annoyed:

You got me. I played it down so as not to look like I was bragging about my fabrication skills. It's true I did use a tape rule to measure it. And I have to confess I used a square to cut it so it was straight. :(
