I need to make an appointment to get the fuel pump recall done. Can anyone recommend a “Mod friendly” dealership in the South Bay Area? I have never taken my Tacoma to the dealership for any service. I don’t want to have any issues since I changed my grill to a Knock off Pro grill.

If all you have is a pro grill then you should be fine. When I took mine in to do a transmission flush, I had fender flairs, light bar, and cantilever. Nobody said a thing.

As long as there aren't any mods that would affect the fuel pumps or inhibit access to them, you'll be fine.

What kind of issues would you have? Why would a different grill be an issue?

The location of the TSS sensor was moved down a few inches on the aftermarket PRO grill. I remember reading a post here that a dealership wanted to disable the TSS because the owner swapped out the OEM grill to a aftermarket PRO grill. The dealership didn’t want to be liable if they were involved in an accident because the sensor was moved.

It's not the dealer, it's a Toyota policy. My service manager already knows not to ask me about it anymore since always deny that "fix".
