Going to be reaching out to local dealership and a few shops to see if they’re familiar with the needle bearing to ECGS swap. Perhaps I could save on installing the lift with you guys and have a shop do the ECGS and alignment sometime after. Hmm

 

I wouldn't advise a franchise dealer, that normally uses Alldata or similar, and is familiar with routine maintenance/warranty repair, to perform work outside of what the factory requires.

 

Dealers don't want that kind of liability.

 

I reached out to Stellar Built, they seem to be the crowd favorite near me for our trucks. Hopefully they’re familiar with the procedure and could knock it out quick for me.

 

They'll be way more familiar than you think; they do solid axle swaps and more (I follow them on IG).

Unfortunately they blew me off when I requested an appointment to get a harrop e locker installed in an extra front diff I have. Hope you don't receive the same treatment.

 

I hope they respond in the next few days. If so I can look to set a date and we can install my lift and AAL, then take to them for alignment and the bushing install. We shall see

 

I'd be down to come and help out if you do a mod day/afternoon. I'm definitely not a mechanic, but I'm not afraid to turn a wrench. Also a great shit talker and beer drinker, so I can help with any of that too!

Stellar Built is familiar with the ECGS bushing and I got a price. I’ll likely go to them for the replacement of that, they can even order the part for me.

So when we do this little mod day it’ll just be my lift

 

I’ll be getting my TRD pro wheels this week and having them put on, then probably early next week I’ll start posting in here to work out a day for us to get the lift put on!

i literally work around the corner from them so they are by far the most convenient. They blew me off too. No email response, no phone call. Super bummed since they brag on IG that they do quick viper cuts and CMC.

 

Ehh I thought my cmc would be quick too, but took 3/4 of a day to get it back. Plus, I am from out of town and that was the slowest day trying to burn time.

installed lift kits multiple times already, no experience with the bushing though.
Can bring tools also

 

I could come by and help with the lift if you need another hand but not the ECGS.

Jk OP. This man is QUICK! We did some work on my front end one time. This guy had his side done and i was barely done taking the tire off. Lmao! DJ does solid work!
