Heres the deal. The guy that was going to take over the payments from me was actually a scam artist. I found out. So i still have the truck, it is not sold. The guy that wanted to trade me the tundra also fell thru.

So yes i still have my truck!!

    All the normal TW BS
    Yosh has it right.

You may talk to a financial specialist to see if you can work it out and get yourself on track, but I'm still thinking you are going to lose the truck. PM me if you want me to put you in touch with someone who can help.

I checked on rentals in your area. It's bad. Can you move to a cheaper area with more choices? Look for clean, look for safe, look for dirt cheap. Screw the rest, there's no point in impressing people, it's better to know where you are going home at night and knowing you can pay the rent. Don't get an RV, you have to maintain it, find a place to park it, and figure out where you're going to poop or periodically empty that thing.

If you don't have a job or if you have a crap job, you just found something to do with your spare time: find a job. A temp job, a crap job, and nasty job, just as long as it's honest money that's bringing in some cash. I used to spend 8 hours a day searching when I just got out of college.

Most of us have done this. I've lived with people, I've lived in a house that should have been condemned. I've worked at a job where I smelled so bad I had to throw away some of my clothes, I've worked where I earned half what I should have been getting, I've been given a garden hoe and told "come back at 5".

Life turns around, but you've got to make it happen and it's not free.

I'd trade out the aftermarket front and rear bumpers for some stock gear, sell all the lights, then sell the truck. Returning as much as you can to stock will help, but the tires, rims, roll bar is going to be harder to ditch since there's probably irreversible mods... and a lift isn't too detrimental.

No way are you getting $27k unless AZ jacks up prices. I paid $27,142 for mine new and I know that I've hurt my resale by my aftermarket gear and mileage. People will assume you have been wheeling hard and the vehicle has been abused no matter how nice you've treated it.

Get a cheaper car. Accord or Camry, private party, make sure to send it to a shop to look over before buying.
    choice 1
choice 2. He's got aftermarket lights, so claim he's raced it and get a lower price.

Sorry, not trying to derail the thread but I figured this would be a good first post to say hello and try to help at the same time. I just purchased a 95 toyota tacoma with 160k miles on it, I'm a poor college student but I searched and searched and got what I wanted (extended cab, 4x4, manual, not too crazy high mileage, low rust).

Have you posted it on cars.com? It's free if you just post one picture I believe. Definitely hit up craigslist, post it in multiple locations by slightly changing the listing (I think craigslist has some software that can tell if its the same listing being posted in multiple locations based on the text you write describing the vehicle, so change it up a bit). If all else fails then ebay it, but they can take a good chunk of change out of your pocket unfortunately.

I'm 24 years old and I'm sorry to hear about your situation, I was in a similar situation myself with a 2009 Yamaha YZF R6s, but I was able to make the payments on my bike and rent and everything so I wasn't in danger of going under but I didn't have a lot of breathing room. Well anyways me and my girlfriend got in a wreck while on it (wearing helmets, no broken bones just a lot of road rash) and totaled it and I'm almost out from under it (less than 1k).

    Anyways, good luck.

thanks for all the help guys. Im not completely in trouble here. I do make enough to pay my truck and bills. But it is tight with a huge truck payment. I love it to death. If it sells then it sells. If not then i will just keep paying it down and paying my credit cards off and sonner or later i will be debt free. It will just take longer with the truck payment.

Will also consider trade for older toyota pickup, tacoma or 4runner. Must be 4x4. I just need out of the payment. Thanks

Don't know what your credit score is, but have you considered refinancing the truck? You'll extend the length of the loan, but could cut your monthly down quite a bit.

And bump for nice looking ride.
