I'm just gonna mod it enough so it performs as I need it to. Simple, right?

that was a pretty low effort response

    lol

    I’ll do you right, tho

these Milestars are great. Great traction ALL around. tough as nails. They ride great and low noise for such an aggressive MT. Very happy with them.

Only issue I have with them (very very likely it is not a tire issue), is the tire shop had a hard time balancing. They are balanced, but it is a circus of a job (excessive balance weights and terrible “stacking” job”). Currently, addressing that and will probably go to balance beads next.

had the stock wheels/tires (31s), less than a thousand miles later, went to a new wheel with slightly larger size tires (32s) about 7k miles later, went to another wheel with 33s and about another 7k later now on 34s.

it’s been a combination of form following function with a bit of aesthetics. My last set of tires 33” hybrid all terrains were getting tore up (at 7k miles) by the terrain I have been doing..

I havent owned a Corvette yet. Im building a 99 SS right now and hoping to pick up a C8 on the used market after a couple of years. My buddy owns a company that is going to be making twin turbo kits for the C8's. So if all goes as plan ill have a TTC8 in a few years.

I hear ya! One mod leads to next. Some mods necessitates next mod for the previous mod to be more bearable. Such as big tires > Re-Gear which i did and love it! Now on to next mod...

I have had close to 30 vehicles in my almost 30 years of driving. Some were quick trials that failed, some were long term and highly modded to represent who I am.
    Just a small sample
1980 Malibu Classic, dropped a 350 in place of the 305.
1986 Mustang GT, rebuilt 302, regeared to 3.55 full 2½ exhaust.
1982 Mustang GT, EFI conversion, manual conversion. 8.8" rear diff regeared to 3.55 ran 13.08 @103.56mph in the ¼.
1991 Explorer, converted to 5.0L with a Custom wide ratio AOD, 5.5" custom lift with 32" superswamper.
1989 4Runner V6 auto, got it with no drivetrain, swapped in a complete 22RE and manual drive train. Made all my own mounts and exhaust to do it. Third head crack later I parted the truck out.

My Tacoma is my first new vehicle I ever bought. The mod I am working on is the pay off mod. Then I will start looking into other things. I have a lot of thoughts and ideas. And as my history shows. I may end up doing something crazy.

I eventually decided to go an "OEM+" route and kept it pretty mild in order to maximize longevity. I'm 34 and this could be the last truck I ever buy if I'm smart, and it is paid off. I just want to regear and upgrade the suspension, mostly because of the terrible leaf springs. I have added dynamat to the doors and rear wall, and will be doing the roof this winter, hopefully along with speaker upgrades, all in an attempt to make it a nicer place to be fo us while we drive 8-15 hour stretches to get to where we want to go. With my loadout for a solid week of remote camping with RTT, it's already right around GVWR. I had rocksliders for 2 trips where I wheeled as hard as I care to and never came close to touching down, so they got sold. Light weight and simplicity keep the truck from wearing/breaking prematurely and the creature comforts keep us feeling better so we can really enjoy the places we go.

All depends what you want/ need out of your truck. I’m on my 3rd suspension setup as my needs have changed/ grown.

The only way I can manage modding is doing it out of "necessity". Hit an animal, get a bumper. Blown out speakers, get some kenwoods. Tires slip way too much, get aggressive ATs. Need space in the back, trash the plastic and get a molle panel. Rotors warped, time for better rotors/pads. Need more storage, get a shell. I think the only things I've done purely because I wanted to are new wheels and a CAI. Not gonna lie though, i keep a list of parts I want so I know what to get the next time something breaks.

That's why I bought a 4X4 Off Road TRD. Awesome shit right out of the box!

But those Kevlar "Highway Tires" had to go!

I'm good with light modification. Only things I might add are leather interior and steps. Not in a hurry though. I just sold one hot rod and going to build my CJ3A. And I'm always tinkering on my TR6 and other projects. That takes care of my modding bug. :D

I modded all my cars in the past. When I traded my Clubman for the Truck I lost money modding it. No more mods for me!!!
