2024 TRD OR long bed

In my struggle to get TRD OR long beds in upper midwest some dealers with vehicles inbound now want a deposit to hold be transferable vs refundable unlike 2 months ago. Now a sales manager says he has no allocations for 3-4 months, and other dealers have no answers. Might we already be nearing the 2025 model changeover?

This feels a lot like my 1999 effort to get a very specific 4Runner. Nothing like what I wanted in the region same time dealers didn't want to make efforts to search.

I would be fine with a transferable money down to hold if there was better news than nothing coming for 4 months.
