I think Bob ought to come in here and inform you all at what rate newcomers are starting in here in any given week. They're gonna have questions you guys.

No matter what any given person's intelligence level may be, we ALL started at the same place. Make room for it or go toss in the UG:D

I would second that, I have noticed more new members lately, most of these folks are not Taco nuts like us, few of us are mechanically inclined to the point of total competence. IMO, I think it's all of our duty to try to make new folks feel welcome here and along with that comes ....shall I say.....less than informed questions. So deal with it or don't fucking reply, remember the old saying about if you can't say something nice???? There are a healthy amount of TW members who are really awesome nice folks who have a lot of patients with the noob questions, it's those members who keep folks coming back and new people coming in, remember that ok? If folks get blasted by everybody here who is acting like know-it-all-snobs, they will leave and not come back. This can;t be a cheap website to run, the fact that it's free for us speaks to the power of the large number of buyers who use the vendors here, we need those new members and we need them to spend their money with those vendors, in order to do that we need those members to get that warm fuzzy feeling of being around a bunch of really cool people. So to the OP, i get it, i understand you perfectly. I personally like encouraging the noobs to use the search function first before starting a thread, it's a great way for noobs to get to know the site and it's members.
There is always gonna be silly/stupid questions, personally, I like using humor with truth mixed in.
