Found an ad on craigslist for a taco tailgate with backup camera. Offered the guy $50 bucks just for the cam and BAM! I got OEM backup camera now! It was super easy to install because I was pre-wired for it!
Took 20 minutes since i didnt have a T30 bit for my drill and now i have an extra harness because the guy gave me that too.
Nice unexpected upgrade to get me even closer to the SR5 package which is $3200 more at the dealer.

Nice. Subtle and lo-pro, yet all the stuff you could want.

If you're looking to lift the truck so that it rides level with no rake, you don't need to put in the spacers, just wait a year or two. The back will sag down to level soon enough, especially if you put a shell on. The rear springs could be much better on these.

Anyone drive full time like this? Truck seems to be more responsive and drive better on the freeway.

At 900 RPM or with traction control off? :D

Shouldn't affect it on the highway.

    oh geez! 900rpms:eek:

I gotta say at least once that I'm coming from an 07 Accord V6 250hp 6 speed manual. I could chirp third gear and it took me to 95mph before having to shift to 4th.
needless to say i got 5 tickets in the 5 years i owned her, BUT i smoked many people:D.

So here i am with my 4 banger that barely does 80 up hill:mad: but im learning to like it, specially not having anxiety before hitting the freeway (i always knew I would'nt take it easy, 120mph+ almost everytime going home from work) I needed to be restricted.

Gear it down. It's still not fast but it's actually able to use what it has.

gearing is too expensive for me right now. Im going to concentrate on paying this overpriced truck off as much as possible then trade her in for a v6 prerunner when im making more money...hopefully:rolleyes:

I got new rims today, alloys from a 99-00 accord v6 for $100 on CL. Good condition with no curb rash:D but no center caps:mad:
15x6.5 +55 offset and 64.1mm bore. I didnt weight the new ones but they felt at least half the weight of the steelies.
The steel rims are like cement boots especially combined with 235/75/15 tires.

    BIG DIFFERENCE!
I immediately felt a change in acceleration and pick up speed particularly on hills.
Feels like a completely different truck now.

I highly recommend changing to alloys for everyone, regardless of your tire size.

I fill up this next week and i can report an accurate mpg difference.

Did you swap the TPMS from the steel wheels to the Accord rims?

No I'm just living with that tire light on the dash. Toyota didn't say anything about it at the last oil change I got.

    Installed some audio stuff.

    Sound dampening.
Water based duct insulation on the inside for panel. I just spread it on with my hands.

Frost King peel and stick duct insulation on the outer panel. The JBL GTO938s installed already.

    My baby sub. Kenwood KSC-SW11

    Much better sound now:)
