OP contact Toyota and tell them you’re interested in purchasing the vehicle. Don’t tell them anything about the vehicle being modified they might let you purchase the vehicle early. Sometimes dealers don’t give you a hard time. I had a lease and turned it back in with a year left just to purchase a new vehicle from the dealer. They took the car back and didn’t even bother looking at it until I got the keys to the new one.

Between the clinical contract-terms advice and a few rolling-eyes, the OP either has enough information or just may not want to return.

Asking for a friend.......Do people actually put snorkels weld on sliders and full plate bumpers and the like on rented vehicles?

I bought my leased Tacoma, I didn't even need to have it looked at, I just paid what was on the agreement and that was it.

Just buy a set of cheap factory take off wheels/tires. 5100 are shocks considered an acceptable replacement for the Tacoma, put them on the lowest setting and remove the rear blocks. Turn it in.

You’ll only get “fined” if you decide to return your lease without trading it in. If you trade in your lease to a dealer or sell it, then there’s no fines and you can pocket the difference if you have positive equity in it.

Three pages im sure this has already been said, If you wish to return the truck at the end of the lease, its open season on what the dealer says it will cost to return the truck back to stock.

But if you buyout at the end of the lease your modifications have no effect.

The buyout amount was pre-negotiated (whether you realize it or not) and is already in the terms of your original lease. This is the amount it will cost to buyout the vehicle regardless of miles or condition.

    EDIT update

If you don't want to keep the truck and cant return it to stock form, you're still likely better off buying it out at your contracted amount and reselling it yourself.

A lease, in its basic form, is nothing more than pre-negotiated depreciation.

Yeah, it's obvious some of the people replying here have never leased a vehicle.
