Modified my Soft-top Compatible bed rack for a Jerry can mount

Hello everyone, I've been had my tacoma for 2 years and put a soft top and uptop overland rack on it to allow be to carry my kayaks and canoe ( although with the canoe I am looking at adding a cab rack but that's another story) I chose the uptop overland rack because of its lightweight ( aluminum) and its ability to customize it's height and the plethora of attachment points. the only thing that I was somewhat disappointed with was the amount it stuck out from the bedrails . with the side plates anything that I attached stuck out even more. So with the help of BullCity fabrication in Durham NC I moved the external plates inward allowing attachment of boxes or cans to not extend further then my mirrors. Kinda nice with the result. here are some pictures. the first one is "before" with the plates on the outside and the second one is after the plates were moved inward.

the plate on the side of my truck is the Rally Plate from the 2000 SCCA/Michelin Maine Forest Performance Rally. A Rally plate is the number plate assigned to a competitor's car in a Rally. That plate was given to me by one of the Rally organizers.
