Whats everyone planning to do for tie rods? I'm thinking 7/8 heim inners and FJ80 outers. I found a reamer to do the FJ taper

Usually the hiem setups are 3/4 inner hiem to a 7/8 outer or whatever...

    Definitely 3/4 inner tho...its plenty

For those looking at fabrication techniques to move the mounting barrels: my approach was to grind down the top of the barrel and weld on the cross member until I could remove the barrel.

Then I used a cutting wheel to notch the frame and create clearance to mount the barrel in the new location. Then held the barrels in place with a jig and welded everything closed.

Not as elegant as the plasma cutter method, but it let me re-use the stock barrels.

Little post machining to do on the welded/pressed end and the rack gears are done...should be assembling them later this week
