No he narrows it down to stock Tacoma length. But bump steer does change a little due to the rack being physically taller and moving the pivot point up some

can't remember, whatever was available at that moment, I can measure later when I remove them and fabricate extended steering stops on LCAs

I don't feel any tbh, but I am also not picky about it.

Took the truck on 4WD adventure this weekend, so far so good! :fingerscrossed:

I keep checking fluid level after being paranoid with original rack when it was leaking. :anonymous:

still need to install bigger cooler and figure out tie rod situation, I need thicker inners to fit boots or else I'll have to weld on tacoma ones to fit boots.

I have them too, problem the tacoma inner tie rods are thinner and boot doesn't mount too well.

here is what I am talking about, had to make it thicker to mount on the end.

Ahh, missed that. I'm using a custom tie rod, so it' already thicker, but you have to use heim joints for both ends then.

Wish I could use heim, but salt makes them crap after one winter out here, so BJ only for me.

Would stock tundra tie rods fit here or they got different thread size?

They are a different thread size. I'm in PA, so the salt+grit kills them in about a year, but it's not a big deal to change an outer heim, and I don't bend tie rods anymore.

I got the kit from Solo when I did their tundra rack conversion. But you could also roll your own from Kartek parts pretty easily. Pricing was almost identical though, so I didn't bother.

Here's a photo dump of the rack install, which took me all damn day. I set the toe and centered the steering wheel the next morning.

    Barrels cut out and patched:

New barrels cut in and tacked into place.

Steering shaft shortened a little over an inch.

    Rack in place.

Big driver's side diff mount washer and flange nuts needed to be ground down.

New tie rods and my home brewed toe setting thingy.

I'm not sure if it's been asked before but if I supply a core does it have to come from a 2007?

    Thanks, Jared
