I have an Access roll up tonneau cover on my DCSB and have been searching around for a compatible over bed ladder rack. I like the Trac Rac G-2, the one with the sliding trac over the bed rails. From the instructions online it seems that they clamp onto the bed and not drill through.

Has anyone drilled and bolted through these or similar racks to work with a roll-up tonneau cover?

I really like how quick these racks pop on and off as needed.

not to many, love it the way it is
I do not think they will work together. the trac rac has to mount (clamp) to the bed rails so the tonneau may not be able to slide correctly with the trac rac mounted

Access did make a bed cover that had a "ladder rack" set up that was removable. Not sure if they make it anymore

My original idea was to get a set of the regular trac racs, cut off the part that stick into the bed and just bolt right through the top of my bed rails. I'm just not sure how beefy the trac rac would be to bolt through.

Any trac rac users with input?
