So much better stuff out there for equal if not less the price. I run ADS (not cheaper) but ICON would seriously be one of the last on my list. Too many issues from friends and TW members

I'm not leased but work in service. Their no way to tell if the customer owns/leased unless a claim has to be submitted for warramty,,,,, and that part is voiding any warranty.

Technically the Moss Magnuson act says a warranty for the vehicle will only be voided on the specific part that was replaced or can be proven ruined other factory parts

I leased mine. Needed a 4x4 for some backcountry stuff I had planned over the next few years. Been 18+ years since I've owned a truck. Figured if I didn't need it after done with my plans it would be easy to get rid of without losing much. Really come to love the truck and all the possibilities it's opened up for my backpacking backcountry adventures.

However I'm gonna hold off on anything major. The improvements in the 2020 has me learning on selling/trading mine in for a 2020/2021 when my lease is up. The android auto is a big plus and I'm waiting to see how the new power seats are adjustability wise. That one I'll end up buying and be my big build. All my stuff is easily taken off and transferred. Most expensive item wheels/tires cost a net $140 wheels thrown in to close the deal sold stocks and bought my toyos

Well aware. We had a melted headlight harness, socket and housing deformed. Route cause was 100w bulbs. Sadly no coverage.

I have not leased a vehicle in a very long time.

What is the main advantage? Is there a financial advantage?

That’s one reason I didn’t go HIDs. Heard they can melt the housings over time

Much cheaper payment, and the flexibility if you like to swap vehicles every few years. Its a common misconception that you shouldn't lease if you drive a lot, but you should also never turn a lease in so those two negate each other.

My lease is modified and if I don't end up buying it then I will take everything off and sell it or trade it in. Always buy the lease out at the end and either trade it back in or sell it privately, never volunteer to pay a fee and turn it back in so they can ding with additional charges.

That’s assuming the lease end value of the vehicle is lower than the current market. Seems like a big risk.

If the 2020 upgrades don't matter to you, then of course, plunge to your hearts content and then do a buyout after lease end.

    I'm holding out for the 2020 ;-).

PS: A while back, I leased a Acura MDX and then put running boards and bumper guard on it (simple mods). Ended up returning it but I removed the mods and of course, never mentioned this to the dealer. They inspected the vehicle and I only paid for some overrage miles.
