Has anyone ever thought of sanding down or modifying the factory Toyota tie-down cleats to work with various retractable bed covers? I know with Roll-N-Lock, the cleats are angled down because part of the cleat pushes up against the Roll-N-Lock rail. I was wondering if I could sand/grind down the part of the cleat that was getting in the way to allow for clearance. I'd love to hear other thoughts about this as I've just got 4 cleats now that aren't being used, and I would love to be able to use them.

I say that you go out right now and grind one down. Report back in an hour.
