i dont understand anything financial so maybe thas why i dont get it, i treat my bank account like a game of tetris, when the money shows up i gotta line it up and get rid of it before i get too much

Why not? If you use a CC you get protection from when someone like Pelfrey, mahalotaco or eledobleu runs off to Brazil with sacks of money without delivering the product you paid for.

Theres a ton of benefits to using a credit card. The issue with credit cards is people carrying balances at high interest rates..

If I have the cash to pay it back immediately, then yes I use a CC. What I meant was I spent money I didn't have, and ended up with some CC debt.

I use rich dad cash for my mods. But then i have to use my wife’s money for things like the mortgage. Sucks, but i make it work.

Yeah, I never take anything online too seriously. Especially when people start talking money. It's just interesting to see some posts that seem like honest answers and others that are just a chance for someone to boast about all their money, real or imagined lol.

For sure. Most of the people I know that pay cash for everything have family money and never had any debt. I do know some folks doing pretty well that worked like mad for it. Gotta respect their hustle.

The good think about being buried in debt is you can get sued for everything you owe.

The secret is you need to drive your truck out to some scenic location, way out in the desert, somewhere that's illegally off trail. Pose your truck seductively while you sit in the foreground with your carefully manscaped stubble, backwards flat-billed cap, and skinny capri pants. Have the nerd of your group take your picture and post it. Do that and you'll never have to pay for a thing in your life, for some reason. Hell, if you learn how to intensely scowl while duck-lipping, you can probably afford two trucks.

When I moved to college, I took my 32" bubble screen TV with me and quickly decided I was going to need a bigger flat screen because, lets face it, I spent more time playing COD than I did studying...I decided I was going to save up 3 times the cost of the TV before I bought it. I learned patience and diligence in that moment and it made the purchase that much more satisfying knowing that I had worked hard for it, paid for it in full and still had money left in the bank.

Now I still use this philosophy to this day, but now that I'm a little older and actually have some credit, I will put the purchase on my CC for the rewards and then turn around and pay it off in full.

Never been a fan of people overspending on mods. I feel like it’s the same people that struggled to keep up on routine maintenance
