Cant even give stuff away without a hassle...you get stupid responses like: "can you deliver this 2hrs away?" Is it still available? Does it come with a warranty?

 

Probably well over a ton, even if it's a hard Winter.
Running out completely is a bad idea (did that once).
You'll have to scramble to find wood pellets in March.

I used to heat exclusively with firewood.
Cut and split manually by myself.
I still have 4 cords in the (roofed over) racks for emergency heat, if, say, the pellet stove goes down.

It's hard to be really self reliant these days, but there are some things you can do.
When the power was out for the better part of a week recently, my generator got a workout.

Gotta replace a hydrogen generator in the lab. It sits on a plate. They could have used screws. But no. They used these tiny fucking bolts that are so small I don’t have a tool to remove them.
