Has anyone built or bought anything to assist in helping a solo driver in loading heavy items into the bed. I've got a couple generators and also my snow blower that all become 2-man jobs. How long of a ramp do you use? Anyone mount a winch to the back of the cab? All ideas and pictures welcome!

I use a utility trailer with a ramp for heavy loads.

Check out bed mounted engine hoists. They can be used for a variety of other things and come in handy.

I use 2 5/4" x 6" x 8' pieces of decking to get my snowblower in and out of the bed. If the generators are on wheels that would also work.

Hit the Weights till they become a one person lift.

There are all kinds of ways you can go .

Is this going to be a daily loading and unloading several times ??

Ramps work but sooner rather then later they will be left at the last job ..

How much weight are you talking ??

Nice little crane that can pick 1000 pounds and swing it up into the bed would be my first choice .

If it was to much hassle to get into and back out places pulling a trailer with ramps

I have a 4x8 aluminum tilt trailer that works for things like that. It's so light unloaded that I can pick up the rear end if need be and move it. Plus it doesn't rust.
