Are there any brands, such as Bam Beds, that do a half set-up length-wise for a bed frame? So you can still utilize the left or right side of the bed? Or a hinge system with the bam platform?

Looking for a half the bed, and more portable and modular than plywood or Bam Bed's current set up. This could possibly be a hinge mod to Bam Bed.

I am thinking about making my own bam bed set up - 3 piece, 24 inches by 57 1/2 (I think). Was thinking today about a piano hinge connecting the middle and end sections. Flip the end over the middle, put them both on top of the inside piece. Might stiffen the two, and help keep them from sliding off the inside section during acceleration.
