Moe, Thanks for the clarification on your tires. Although there are only 3 or 4 tires available in the 255/85R16 size I am having a hard time deciding on which ones I want plus my money tree has not fully grown out yet anyway, but I am leaning toward the BFG Mud Terrain KM2 tires because I can get them locally at discount tire and have them installed there. The Cooper ST tire is only available (at a fair price) by internet ordering, then I would have to take them to a tire store for installation and listen to their "we could have gotten you those for less" (but their price was hundreds higher when I asked).

Haha it always seems like there's never enough on that money tree, for me anyway. For whatever reason the cooper st's are getting harder to find. I think it may be because cooper is gonna start producing their ST Maxx's in the 255/85 size. It's also an A/T but the side wall is a little more aggressive. Also, I'm not sure what the tread design is like. I'm sure you'll like the km2's. After all the reading I've done on the 255/85 options, the km2s get the most positive remarks. That's why I'm sticking with km2's in the 33/10.5 once I find some wheels I like.

Did you get the Morimoto mini? Or ??? I forgot
If it's the Morimoto its nice and simple. I took my time because I had to, but I'm sure you could do it in a couple hours. Only advise I have is to make sure and put enough sealant back into the housing once your ready to seal it up. Also when taking the housings apart, the 250 degree and 10 minutes works ok, it's still tough to get the lenses off. I'd reccomend letting the oven get to 300 degrees then let the headlights sit in there for 7 minutes. On the second set of lights I did the 300 deg. / 7 min. and it was so much easier. I didn't have to pry them off, I could pull them off with my fingers. But be careful because they are still a little toasty. Anyway, good luck and have fun with the install!!!

It's purely visual anyway. Some people have the halo inside the shroud so the light shines through the slits on the shrouds, It gives it a cool look. Later I may add halos inside the shrouds and keep the ones on the outer edge also. Yet again these retro fits look cool just by themselves, so we shall see. When the halos are off (during the day) they have almost a neon yellow look, which I don't mind. When they're on they make for good DTRL's. But I have mine set to the parking lights and they come on with 1 click/ turn of the light switch. Anyway, enjoy your new lights!

you r not going to believe when I went to install my projectors today. So I go and take everything off this morning to give me enough time to do the retro fit. I thought all day would be the best idea and give plenty of enough time UNTIL my wiring harness would NOT work. I was a little frustrated after I had got off the phone with TRS because I had ordered to wrong projector kit. Now I am not saying anything bad about TRS because the bent over backwards to help me resolve the issue.I will have to say they have great custumer service and told me I could send everything back and they would swap the entire kit for the correct one. So needless to say I boxed everything up and went right then to the postal service and sent the retros back them to swap for the right ones now. But I am not frustrated anymore everything is has been taken care of and hopefully will be here next week too.

Anyway I got some undercoating spray at autozone yesterday and sprayed the entire frame, fender wills, my rear axle, and the entire underneath of the truck today since I had to send the retros back. Painted my shrouds black on inside and outside.

That really sucks Nathan! How did you order the wrong projector kit? I had trouble ordering as well. Luckily I ordered everything else correctly except for the wiring harness of course. Once I clicked on the morimoto mini option on the TRS group buy thread, it took me to their website. Since I didn't know exactly what I needed I just left all ordering options as they were, except for the dumb mistake of changing the wring harness selection to 9006 instead of 9003. I still don't know why I did that. Anyway I'm glad you got it all resolved, and yes I do agree their customer service is willing to answer questions and help. At least you got something done today! Hopefully it'll get to you quick!

I know Moe I really wanted to get then installed this weekend to try them out but I didn't know I had ordered the wrong kit and all. From what I was told that I ordered the wrong wiring harness to pug into the factory plug on the truck. They said though if I will send everything back they would exchange everything instead of just the wiring harness. Anyway like u said I do have a little rake in the back but I like how it looks too IMO. in the rear from the ground to the middle of the fender flares is 42". The front is 41" from ground to fender. I hope this help!! I think urs would look good too putting it like u said in the 1.5" mark on the shackles I will say it does help a ton with towing trailers.

Yeah I understand how you feel, it sucks to have to wait when you thought you'd already be done. I guess it just adds to the suspense:)

Thanks for the numbers. I'm gonna go measure here in a bit. I feel like I got maybe a .5" out of the 1" setting on the adjustable shackles. I was looking back at picks after I just added the new shackles and it did sit higher in the back, more so than now. Although in those pics I didn't have a highlift, tools, softopper, and other random work equipment. So maybe all that added together has brought me back to level? Who knows. Maybe it's time to add the D6XL AAL for the DAKARS. Maybe the constant 150-200 #'s is enough weight to bring the rear down. Also, towing vehicles once a week.

I meant to tell u that all I am runnin in the back is the DAKAR's and the toytec shackles. I dont have any add a leaf or the D6XL. An just with the dakars and the shackles I have that muck rake. So u should be fine with only the leaf pack an shackles.

Finally spliced into the parking lights to wire up the halos... They do add a cool effect

Thank you! It took me a week (unsure and laziness) to actually wire them up but I'm glad I did. It's one of the few times I have worked with electrical on anything.

    Haha thanks Nathan!
That's cool they got you all squared away. The only thing I would change about TRS is the ordering options. There are too many selections and lots of people don't know which to choose. Maybe they could allow for buyers to enter their vehicle info that way the options could be narrowed down to each specific vehicle, which I think would reduce ordering wrong parts. Other than that though I have had good experiences with them and I've called a ton.

Every time I see your red truck it makes me jelly! Red and black would be my dream color tacoma. Maybe 1 day

    Added an ultra guage.

Also, added some 15" wheels, but I don't like them. So going back to 255/85/16's once I have the extra monies needed.
