Thank you! Yeah it was difficult but the welding was done by a friend. He does really good work. We mig welded the entire thing with the exception on the recovery points, those were stick welded. But as far as fitment... We didn't get it perfect but it's close. The most we had to grind down were the corner pieces up by the fender (closest to the tire).

If your wanting a good 7hr project then I'd say get this DIY bumper. If not then save up to buy the prewelded one.

    Thanks fellas

I painted it up today. Also, gotta grind off and reweld the recovery points. I put'em on completely wrong. Anyway here is the painted bumper. Thinking about getting it sandblasted & powder coated. If I do then I'll grind down the welds to make it smooth-er. egygu7y6_61ccbcae94e6725bf11786613e47b7e177249362.jpgnyqu9esy_a63a52ecba708f5e611d333e172999f884370802.jpg

Moe that front bumper looks sweet. I like everything about it expecially them hoops on the front looks good. Since that was the bumper u put together does it fit flush with the frame of the truck like where the grille and the fenders r or do u have a gap on it?

Thank you! I'm liking it, now just need to get it powder coated.

How much was your to get powder coated?

It's sits perfect because there's a slight gap, roughly 1/2" or so. I didn't want it to tight against the grill so it has some room to flex if needed.

It cost me for both bumpers bout 270. Now for 1 it will definitely be less than that. I'd say 150 or so. And gotcha on the 1/2 gap don't know if I should leave a tiny gap or try to make it flush, that's what I really want though flush.

Yeah I would rather have it blend in seamlessly without any gaps but I think its best so as to not cause damage to other parts. I'm sure if my bumper sat flush against the grill, then the first time it flexed I would crack the plastic grill or break the grill mounting points. So to avoid any damage I tried my best to make sure there was somewhat of a gap.

Added a modified version of retro stripes... a2y5a8y5_e2226c64afdb4b9b1fe585887e8336b7ca68fdeb.jpgesyge4ap_d32b26ddd602cbb288bfa74c37d0fe87ac3c4951.jpg3avaja5y_c50d639c8a5a37c61f7959e0af58270ecf8316b4.jpg

I tried running the thin stripes toward the rear of the truck like this...yzyqe7yd_338993b4263f7eb413bf3e241130a72155bdfed3.jpg but I didn't like how it came out on my truck. Maybe after I remove the pin striping

Haven't done much to the truck in a couple weeks. I did take it out today. I hate taking pics but I made myself take a couple. So, here's one at the beginning of the trail and a couple just sitting in the middle of the woods somewhere. The spot may have been an old bike trail it was so narrow. So much screeching from tree pin striping. 5y6y2e8a_c526a45df58b1d4841d68777adcda354bbe47a34.jpga7ytugur_0a0394b6f4446db9424fa345a6fa36f43dcc0336.jpg

Yeah just plasti dip. My plan was to copy the retro stripes like on some of the earlier trucks, but I kinda made up these. A couple random guys have joked around calling my truck an "Indian truck". I guess the stripes kinda give it an Indian theme
