Roughly 12 years ago, I found a product from Japan that conditions and rejuvenates rubber seals. I started using it on my old 20+ year old cars from Japan. It really helps to keep the seals looking and feeling young. One Japanese car is now 30 years old with the original seals that are still in good shape.

I see the product being used by 300zx people to fix leaky t-tops. It was primarily used by Honda for big door gaskets on the Odyssey mini-van.

If a seal is completely worn out, there is not much you can do but replace it. If the seal is on the edge and can be rejuvenated, this might be worth a try.

I hit the window and door gaskets with Silicone Spray for sure before winter and when I think of it.

I work for Toyota. I can attest to the fact that you can hear the body fit adjustments from 40-50 feet away, even in a somewhat noisy manufacturing environment. They do use BFHs.

I installed all 4 strips yesterday. I cleaned the surfaces too before install. The drip strips were tough to put in. My fingers were dead tired. The door strips were easy, except the drivers side took longer than the pass side. The drip strips were shot. I probably could have keep the original door strips, but probably for the best I changed

Wonder if I should get rid of my rubber mats and go fabric OEM?

Did you check the grommet on the firewall? Previous owner had Uhaul install a brake controller unit and they just ran the wires to the side of the grommet, instead of through it.

Best Buy, who installed his alarm/remote start/door lock also just drilled through the firewall. Granted they put silicone around it but that could also be another point of entry if the silicone jobs sucks or it’s degrading.

There's one more, throttle cable. That's the one that nearly destroyed mine.

You know what...I did have to run some wires through there for my AFR gauge a little over a year ago. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the culprit
