Cool, I don't know where to get a Ham or lights. I was thinking about two cubes on each side of the windshield to start, maybe a beam.

    can pm me some pricing?

    Thanks bud

PM sent. Hopefully you can make it. A HAM is nice to have but really more of a convienance or luxury than anything. Lights will help alot in the desert, but I doubt youll be going fast enough your out run your high beams. A small bar would be great. A dust light I would think is most important from a safety factor. Anyways, none of this is required for this trip. Check your PM and we can work something out.

Which reminds me...you think I should mount those pods on the tool box or bed rails?

Personally I think a Ham is important on this run. There are parts where the trail isn't really defined too well. Hell you can get a handheld off Amazon for 60 bucks. PM The Traveler for details he bought some.

If you dont have any dust lights then yah. Id put 1 set of amber on the rear for sure. And I think bed rails is better than tool box. They will look funny on your tool box cuz its small. Plus then u have to drill through it. Bed you can just make little brackets for the bed rails.

    I just mounted this tonight:

Listen to this guy... he knows more about this run than me thats for sure!

You may want to ask Johnnie, but I believe if you go over a certain number of trucks, you are supposed to secure a permit from BLM. You may not encounter a ranger but better safe than sorry.
