Yes it is doable in a stock truck. 4 wheel drive will certainly help. But as far as clearance and stuff, My friend did it in a stock 1998 jeep and was just fine.

Front long travel custom: king 10" CO, solid lowers, fabbed spindle, heimed everything ect. Rear still in progress, waiting to be put on: bilstein 9100s, T100 axle. Stock 3.4 engine, 4.30 gears.

did you guys go again?

I'm waiting until my rear suspension is done to do this trail fully

What's up Lee!! Unfortunately I am not. My buddies went last weekend and I went to Parker AZ. My wife and I just bought a house and she didn't want to be alone in our new house so I decided not to go on the Mojave trip. Are you still planning on Death Valley? By the way I got all hooked up in my new garage and got my new welder and everything so let me know if you're still up for some rock sliders.

We did the DV trip last week. Had a blast; explored a few new areas and played some music up in Cottonwood Canyon with Mark n' Chaz.. I have put up a few pics in the Off-Road forum under the DV thread and will be adding a few more later, after I get my gear cleaning chores done! Always chores...

Sweet dude!! Really wish I coulda gone! Haha those guys are awesome! I'd really love to do another trip with you guys. Cool man. I'll definitely be checking out the pictures for sure. Haha I totally hear ya on the chores stuff man! Being in a new house I have so many things to do and that I want to do to make it my own space haha. Spent lots of money at lowes and Home Depot the last month. I'm waiting on UPS to bring me my new tube bender and I'll be getting your sliders done! Hopefully very soon!

You should be ok. Only concern will be the soft sand in a couple of areas. Your buddies can pull you out though, safety in numbers! haha.
