Just thought this may help some of you guys who experience the same problem. 2000 grit sandpaper and an hour of elbow grease. Then some 303 protectant. Before and after shots below. The more you work at it the nicer it gets. I stopped wet sanding after about an hour. I’m really happy with the results.

Do you park in a dark and musty garage, leaving the truck parked for extended periods of time? That’s weird.

Nope. Daily driver and I park outside at work. I never park in a garage and none of the other moulding on the truck looks like that. I only parked in the garage today while I sanded it so the sun wouldn’t eat me alive. I live on the west coast of Florida so anytime I can get out of the sun is good.

my 2nd gen got that. Irritating cause there's not much you can do but seems like you found a fix.

Do you park your truck in your living room? Or do you have a chandelier in your garage?

Hahahahaah! I just bought this house last week and the knucklehead that I bought it from was cheaper than hell, I guess he figured why throw it out if it works. Needless to say it will be coming down in due time. I was laughing about it when I posted the pic.

Cerakote Ceramic Trim coat is an amazing semi permanent coating for trim. 10x better than 303. You might want to look into it.
