Moldy applicator pad?

I used this to wax and thought I was being smart sealing it in a bag. I see it's moldy now. How do you guys store your sponge applicators or do you just toss them?

 

I make sure they're washed and dried and then keep them in labeled ziplocks for repeated use.

I'd go ahead and just wash that one with dish soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and use it again.

 

I hand wash mine with dawn in the kitchen sink then let it dry. Then I throw it in with my bibs and bath towels when I do a load of clothes. Let it dry once again then put them in a ziplock bag and place that with my microfiber towels in a plastic storage container.
