That's good to hear. I've pulled the plastic and sound deadened and used mass loaded vinyl behind where it is supposed to go. It looks naked without this.

What is mass loaded vinyl? Also I was wondering. Is sound protection definitely needed? Has anyone not used it?

Mass loaded vinyl is a thick rubber sheet you apply on top of sound deadening to help stop noise. If you pull the plastic bins its bare metal between the cab and the bed and sounds terrible. I did the entire cab with sound deadening and mass loaded vinyl and it made a huge difference with road noise and my speakers sound much better.

Yes, you'll want the sound protection. It's louder than skeletons fuckin' on a tin roof!

I have not used it and i dont think its that loud. Just fill your panel with bags and stuff and it shuts it out just fine

I don't have it. I'd like it, but don't need it. With the seats up, I don't notice it at all. With both seats down, I notice an increase in noise. However, if I have music on, I will likely not notice it.

I guess with the seats up it wouldn't be as bad, I didn't think about that. I removed the passenger side rear seat so all the noise channeled right up front for me.

I drive with the seats up 99.9%of the time, but still want shit done right. I'm curious if anyone has put their panel on hinges in order to make mounting some stuff easier plus there may be a little usable space in there right?

Thats a pretty cool thought...might have to look into this further...dont know that there is necessarily any extra room behind the panel but installing bags and stuff might be worth it

Where did you get the MOLLE bags that you have your shackles in? Is it a mag pouch?

Sorry ladies and gents for my absence. I've had some major life events to deal with that took priority. PTSD/depression, job change, loss of income, counseling, etc. I'll be getting this group buy back on track shortly.
