Fair enough! Still too much current going through the cab for my taste, but it sounds like you've got a good plan! Definitely get one of these panels as well.

5th group buy panel received and installed! Doing a test fit of some stuff and to see if I need to add sound dampening mats or not.

How many third gen access cab owners have installed these?

I just got mine installed (and I like it) but fitment left a lot to be desired.

First there are some brackets that are for a child seat. There isn't a hole in the panel to accommodate these. So I had to cut them off (not a big deal but the panel should have a cutout for those).

Second none of the bolt holes are even close. The upper bolt holes only had two that would fit. The rest weren't close. The smaller ones halfway down lined up. But to get any of them in I had to hog out the bolt holes (bigger than the head) and then use fender washers to make up the gap.

Edit: Actually it looks like everyone has these issues.

For sound deadner I just left the factory thing in there. Hopefully that does something. :)

There have been issues with fitment of different and same generation access cabs. I can't tell why just yet. The double cabs never had these issues.

I ended up not using sound insulation on mine and just left the factory rubber thing in there. With the windows up and radio off I can barely hear a little extra wind noise.

But that might have been there before and I wouldn't have noticed because I never drive in silence like that.

After a couple short test drives: that cabin vent thingy is the primary noise culprit. I can hear the heat shield buzzing right underneath it... sounds like a rabid badger in a trash can every time I power out. I'm taking it out.

Who has the part number for the rubber doohickey to plug the hole..?

I finally got around to installing this but I lost the screws. Can somebody tell me what size screws go to the back panel?

had some time to work on some custom molle attachments. the large bags are nylon tote bags that i modified, added straps and velcro. also made a large velcro panel to cover up the power window motor, and mount my first aid kit to
