Does anyone know if this will fit a regular cab model? (2nd gen.) I mean I don't need it to be perfect; if it has a couple extra cut outs for the seat backs to hook to that would be ok. Or if I need to drill a couple holes I'd still be cool. I would get in on this group buy if anyone has any input about if I can make this fit.
    Thanks!

You have insulation back there? Or is that factory foil?

I put sound deadening. No insulation. And in the vent thing, I put some foam from the Pelican boxes.

Ignorant question/debate/issue: Metal PALS/MOLLE is almost a contradiction. PALS was meant (originally) to load up troopers for grunt work (ammo, IFAC, etc.). Does a metal PALS grill work best or would it be better to use a piece of fabric, or possibly plastic (kydex), with PALS webbing? Advantages of fabric: Lighter, more flexible (threading webbing attachments), sound deadening(?), may use space more fully (gives when pushed by seat, other PALS items). Advantages of metal: More durable, looks great. Love this idea and props to inventor/fabricator. I am just trying to think things through. Thanks for your thoughts. Best!

My opinion might be biased, but I see the metal as sturdier. I actually tried getting custom fabric panels made and it was ridiculously expensive. I don’t remember off hand, but it was expensive. If I had gone the fabric route, what would be the anchor points? I would probably have to drill more holes. Not sure how that would look. That’s my .02.

The platform is MOLLE-based, and since MOLLE is used generically as a term meaning "uses the PALS system for attachment", it doesn't matter what it's made of. It's like saying "Ziploc" instead of self-sealing plastic bag. Or "Tupperware" instead of plastic container with a sealing lid. Or "coke" for the morons I grew up around to mean any carbonated beverage. Some people have, indeed, attached a fabric MOLLE panel in the rear of their truck, with the seats still in and with the seats completely out. Some have used RIGID MOLLE Panels between their seats, some have taken to the idea of getting rid of the seats. The purpose of this thread is that last one.

Edit to add: I prefer the RIGID MOLLE Panels because it provides me with a weight bearing surface throughout vs at attachment points. This means I can put things on it that are not truly meant to be mounted to MOLLE such as QUICK-FIST clamps (that I utilize to hold a felling axe), or my fire extinguisher mount, etc.

This is also the season I am exploring mounting additional MOLLE Panels to my suicide doors and the back of the fold-forward seat.
