A slight revision on my MOLLE setup as seen on the first page:

while the MOLLE pouches served their purpose well for several years, the straps on the pouches have mostly failed after a few years. This is due to the nylon pouch fabric to metal panel attach points, the inability to properly weave the straps to the panel for weight distribution because of non-standardized MOLLE spacing, the bouncy nature of offroading, etc. The extreme dust in my locale also fouls the pouch zippers. I’ve since been replacing the pouches w/ small Apache hard cases bolted to the MOLLE panel attach points. I think this is the optimal solution. Water tight, dust tight, no zippers, no sagging, etc.
