Not true. Police are allowed to use their judgement. I have been caught breaking the law more than once and I was given verbal warnings.

On the other hand, I've had a couple times when I've been threatened with jail time over inconsequential things like the fact that I had a few Advil pills- clearly labeled on the pill- that weren't in their original bottle. Cops like that probably need to reevaluate their career choices or at least take a cruise or visit a national park or something because they seem to have gone off the deep end.

But maybe something else happened. If mom or grandma were standing around calling the cop everything but a white boy, maybe he got tired of it and handed them the ticket. Mostly when speaking to police (or anyone else), you get what you put into the situation.

OK, I know they are allowed to use their judgement. I never said they were not allowed to. Please re-read what I wrote...unless you just meant to quote someone else?

I can think of much serious offenses that should be penalized with a $2500 fine.. But not this.

Even though I kinda of get what your saying. This cop was an asshole. There was no reason to write a ticket like that.

And little boys pee outside, that's the beautiful of being able to stand and pee! Saying the mom was not controlling her child, maybe a little much. Maybe wrong choice if words. And hardly deserves a ticket at all.

This... In this case, I completely blame the LEO unless he tried to give them a warning and the lady went off on him. I don't blame LEO'sin general but, if that story isn't missing any relavent details, that particular cop is a first rate asshat.

Yeah It's so hard to conceive that a cop can ever do wrong... right? There has to be more to the story that the media must have left out. It has to be the parents fault for letting the kid run around on their own property...

nobody has said either of those things. This is one of those stories where you would have to actually be there to judge. LEOs are regular people, who put their pants on 1 leg at a time (exept Kodiak, he flys into them).

Look, when you posted the OP, I guess you were trying to further your hidden agenda of cop bashing. Instead of posting something where all views would be accepted.....right?

    Oh wait.....

I am usually the guy defending police...but $2500 for a 3 year old peeing on his own damn property? Absolutely ridiculous and it cannot be defended. The kid is 3 for God's sake, do you think he is really aware of what he is doing? The officer should have simply told the parents that it is not legal for the child to do so in public view and be done with it.

To serve and protect? Ridiculous, sounds like an example of an individual with some sort of a chip on his shoulder that has no business....
Geeez, that was several times a day with my son at that age. We had a very tough time convincing him that peeing outside was not the best idea. And he typically did so while facing the road.

the kid is only 3 and already knows the joy of peeing outdoors.

somethin' about not having to lift the seat or flush makes men happy...add a few beers and a cool evening and the experience is quite enjoyable. :D

We should all coordinate a time, and go outside and take a piss! This little boy needs to know as a man, you stand up outside, take your Wang out and piss!
