I just swapped over the one I have hooked up to my work computer. Guess that means I'm done working for the day. Ah well.

My highly uneducated and untested theory would make sense:

Algos know that 5m shares are coming onto the market. Work hard to keep price suppressed.

Share offering completes, and for a couple moments you get the stock trading as it would if it wasn't being fucked with. Algos adjust and short it back down.

 

Somehow your dedication to the stock inspires me to buy in, and your gosh darn negativity makes me think I’m right to doubt this will happen. So when are they going to stop “fuckin with it”?

 

When they're forced to, and not a nanosecond sooner. Likely when the rest of the market starts to collapse and plays their hands for them.

 

I much prefer it to be the trigger for market collapse than the other way around. If everything goes to shit first, then we won’t even hit 700 before they step in to prevent catastrophic losses. Make it happen

 

If they manage to string this out til towards the end of the year, let it kick off just in time for the next tax season, they might only have to deal with "collapse" for a few months until billions of dollars of rich retard tax money goes back into the system which can be used to bail out things that need bailing, provide some more stimulus checks and shit, and "contain" the explosion a bit.

If .gov wants its maximum returns, they'll have to let it start and end by the end of 2021. Any longer than that and most of us are on long term cap gains, and the tax cycle goes another year.

Personally, I don't think they have that much time, but it's been something I've noodled over.

 

Probably best to add more shares just to pay the taxes
