Monroe Coil-Overs (Preassembled)

    Last week I installed some new coil overs on the front end of my 1999 3.4 4x4 tacoma. I ordered them from RockAuto for about $70 each plus ship (part #171352L and 171352R).

    Install was pretty easy, especially considering I’ve never really worked on a suspension before. Luckily, between this forum and YouTube, it was already well mapped out. Only issue was figuring out how to rotate the lower bushing so it lined up with the bottom bracket.

    Only put about 50 miles on so far but compared to the old ones these feel smooth as butter. I hate to admit but looks like the ones I replaced were the originals.

    Pictures below are of the new coil overs during install and a before/after picture of the front wheel height.

    Once I actually put a few miles on these I’ll update more info here.
