    I think one of the news stories mentioned "some guy" coming along, grabbing it, and saying he was gonna "mount it on" his wall. So not sure how DNA testing would go unless they tracked that guy down.

    Anyone find it interesting it washed up on the shore across from Plum Island (where they test animal diseases)? :spy:

    Except for the fact that getting the shell off means you'd have to rip out the back bone which would expose muscle, torn flesh, etc since they aren't like crabs switching shells as they grow.
