I couldn't leave MT without a scratch (or dent) in my skid plate :D

I only found the rocks I wanted to.

All in all it was a great run and I had a blast. We don't have those kinds of trails in Iowa. I'm glad to be home, but miss the scenery and weather in MT. Came home to 95* + for at least another week.

Just went through my pics, still need to go through my wife's pics. I didn't take nearly as many as I thought I did.

    Here is what I found

Here was the scenery at our second stop (the first was because Lisa took us the wrong direction)

I would need a hell of a lot stronger skid plate if i went to Moab. I've got a scratch (or 2) on my skid plate every time i went offroading. I think Moab would destroy the stock one.

That's the cool thing about a trip like that - or the meet you just did. You can always jump in & ride shotgun with someone & still have a great time.:D
My first full year of meets my truck stayed parked. :anonymous:

Obviously my position has changed somewhat since...

I looked around a little bit, but don't want to sort through 40 pages.
What exactly is the plan for the Aug meet? Meet at ____ time on Friday, wheel on Saturday, go home late Saturday or early Sunday? or is there more?

    its in the OP...

I am planning on some in town activities on Friday the 24th then leaving for the trail on Saturday morning. I think it will take the better part of a day to reach the end of the trail so we'll plan on camping out at the end of the trail Saturday night and then head back to civilization on Sunday morning. maybe splitting into 2 groups on the way out - those that need to get home can leave early and those who want to hang out and explore a bit more can.
I would encourage everyone to plan to be in Bozeman on Friday so we can leave together on Saturday.

    why yes... it is...

I think this: "super secret activities on Friday:spy:" somehow made me completely miss this: "camping at the end of the trail and returning on Sunday" haha. Thanks.

How long do you think it will take to get back to Big Timber on Sunday? I have an 8 am class on Monday so I want to make sure I have time to drive back to Idaho.

I'm guessing on 6-7 hours from Bozeman to the end of the trail which includes an hour to stop at natural bridge falls park. Bozeman to Pocatello looks like about 4 hours so on the return trip you'd be looking at maybe 9-10 hours total drive time on Sunday.

I see, so I just have to make sure I break camp by like 11 at the latest. Should be easy. I just might be at your meet then:D I'll let you know for sure later. I still can't say for sure yet this far out, too many variables for me... girls:rolleyes:
