I think I'm going to order this on Monday. $499, that price is too good to pass up. Almost identical to an ARB plus it comes with lights. What you guys think?

It is 1/2 price from what I've seen on other websites. I just hope they still have some left next week when I get my money to order it.

Shipping weight is 130Lbs so I figure around 100Lbs off the pallet.

So $499 + $179 shipping = $678. That to me is a ridiculous price for a winch plate bumper already powder coated with lights. TJM has been around since the 70's too so quality should not be an issue. I'm stoked :D

My buddy has a TJM Aluminum bumper. Nice bumper, look like good welds on it.

I honestly find myself marginally interested in that bumper at some point in time. I like the look of it

yea i have read good reviews on it for the most part. Suppose to have great customer service too.

However..some base bumpers are just 100 more from Eric or Tim..and look..SO much better. and have much better approach angles..

but thats just me...Plus..im not a huge fan of full guard light hoops..

Personally I like this/ARBs look better than Elite, Relentless, etc. I prefer the sharper angles. Outside of that lip hanging down for the winch, the angles don't look all that different to me? :notsure: I'm no bumper guru though. Base might be $100 more from Tim or Eric, but when it's all said and done I'd be paying ARB prices for one of theirs... Why are we in this thread anyway? lol we shoudl be in the main MT Taco thread

Well, I ordered it yesterday. I've been wanting a plate bumper since I got my first taco in 02 so the wait is finally over and it should be here on Wed or Thurs. I'll post pics somewhere on here when I have it installed.

On a side note I was at harbor freight today and they had 12,000 lb badland winches on sale for $299... Couldn't swing it though.

Anyone interested in a meet towards the end of October?
Just wanted to put a feeler out there because Chris AKA acdronin is going to be in Northern Idaho around that time and he'd like to meet up with some of us if possible. It would be just a day trip somewhere around the Missoula area.
Its all very sketchy right now, just wanted to see if anyone would be up for a meet at that time. I dont' want to make him drive to MT for nothing!

    Come on out Homer...what's another 4800? ;)

I know of a couple of areas...more scenic than anything but if you add some snow into the equation it could get more interesting in a hurry

    maybe.

Yeppers, gonna swing thru N ID to visit my son at college, thinking of swingin out Misoula way to check out some of the Big Sky State. Would love to meet more TW folks along the way, plus you locals know the cool spots to go, makes my trip more fun. Tentative would be end of Oct very early Nov. I don't have a locker and my rig is way too long to be crawling but she's pretty good all around, any ideas would be appreciated!

Me? Probably not, unless it was closer - since Missoula's a ways up there for me. I have too much going on with classes, work, and personal stuff. Wish I could though!
