Just wanted to say hello! I used to live in Big Sky and now I'm moving back to Bozeman after living in Hawaii for the last three years. Looking forward to being back! Would love to meet up with people for some trail rides, camping and/or just a few .

I drive a FJ60 Land Cruiser and my gf drives a 2013 Tacoma.

Awesome! Welcome back. Check out 406cruisers.com it's a new Toyota 4x4 club in Bozeman that's organizing monthly trail rides. Most of the group driver Land Cruisers. Couple Tacomas.

Aloha. Big Sky has certainly grown in your absence. Blue Moon still has the best lunch deal.

Mike over at Sound Pro (out in 4 corners on Shedhorn Drive). They treated me really well. :) Very clean install too. He did a great job making it look nice.

For all you Montana folks I just got the itch to research our state's mud flap laws. Granted there are lots of trucks on the road every day with no mud flaps. However, here's what the law actually says if you want to keep within the letter of the law.

    http://leg.mt.gov/bills/mca/61/9/61-9-407.htm
    61-9-407 1)
    d) If the vehicle is 8,000 pounds or less gross vehicle weight or rating, the fenders, splash aprons, or flaps must extend downward to a point that is not more than 20 inches above the surface of the highway when the vehicle is empty.
    (2) Fenders, splash aprons, or flaps, as used in subsection (1), must be constructed as follows:
    (a) when measured on the cross-sections of the tread of the wheel or on the combined cross-sections of the treads of multiple wheels, the fender, splash apron, or flap extends at least to each side of the width of the tire or of the combined width of the multiple tires

I am assuming everything in SW Montana is still closed or snow covered.. I have not gone and checked yet. I might drop by the USFS office and pick up off-road maps for dates when things open up.

I am really itching to get out and about. I went down to Georgetown Lake for the weekend at a friends cabin. Got an opportunity to do an mild uphill rocky section to test the truck. Although, I never had to take it out of 2wd..
