    Hi everyone

I'm spending the summer down at my cabin rear rexford/ eurika and was wondering of there are some locals in the area I could meet up to go wheeling with at some point!

I've been looking at the forest service Kootenai national forest ranger district maps and have noticed a few "lookouts" in the rexford/fortine districts as well as the libby district such as black butte, warlord pk, blue mtn, Zeigler mtn, etc. I know some can be rented to stay the night, but i am more looking for day trips to check them out! Just wondering if anyone has been up to these / would like to go at some point? My goal this summer is try and reach all shown in the two districts.

Are there any fff-road fab guys near Bozeman or within an hour or so? I will be in Bozeman during the end of the summer and would like to get some sliders and skid plates. I would just order some from a bigger company but i would much rather cut out shipping and get to know someone into this stuff!!

Thanks lol its a blast. I actually bought it like this then swapped the motor. It needs a few tweeks but works great. I am thinking of getting another welder and building a nicer one.

Is anybody in here part of Rimrock 4x4? I hear they know of some pretty good off roading spots near Billings. I'm going to be in Melstone for the 4th and am debating pulling my beast out there if I can find a couple good trails to crawl. It's not a streetable rig so driving scenic routes is out.

There's some trails in Checkerboard I read, but I can't find any info on them. I don't want to go anywhere that will get me shot.

@C2T may know some of the folks from that group, I believe he's gone on a few trips with them before.

Somehow I just found this thread... MT resident (Whitefish -C Falls) for 14 years, but I get around the western part of the state quite a bit (Bozo, Zoo, Hell, G Falls). I'd be in if meet ups are happening.

You actually passed me Friday evening in front of Murdochs on Jackrabbit. My wife and I had just picked up food from the Taco bus in Four Corners.

That antenna you have is no joke.

The whole Trego/ Fortine area is spiderwebbed with logging roads through beautiful scenery and you can connect to highway 2 in the Lost Prarie area or over to Star Meadows near Whitefish. There's not a lot of true Off Road driving out here, but great scenic driving and hiking/ biking.

Southwest of Kalispell we have the Wild Bill OHV Park. It's built for highly modified vehicles, but the drivearound trail to get around the obstacles is a really fun drive and damn near offroading.

PM me when you get down here and we'll go for a drive sometime.
