    I've looked at the Coopers...not sure about them. Plus they are not available in my size. And I don't want KM2's - too knobby which means lots of noise. Trying to get a tire that doesn't give me a headache from the amount of road noise they produce.

    The alignment was my bad, never considered that it was necessary at hte time. Now I know better. :eek:
    I do like the traction that the Duratracs provide but between the noise and the balancing issues I don't want to go with them a second time.

    Too knobby! :goingcrazy:

    Any agressive tread pattern will make more noise than a highway tire but I think MTs in general get a bad rap. Noisy MTs you hear howling down the highway are typically not BFGs. Also, the noisy ones are usually noisy because they have unusual wear patterns, haven't been rotated regularly or are out of balance. The noise is actually the larger tread blocks squirming as they roll across the pavement.

    I have not found my BFGs to be particularly noisy in spite of their large tread blocks.

    I agree, i don't think my KM2s are loud really at all compared to the goodyears that came on it.
