Careful?!? You call almost tipping over, dragging your hitch/bumper on the ground and having a run-in - which I had absolutely nothing to do with - with the po-po careful? I don't want to be around you on a bad day :D

17's? I think I would have to go with another lift to fit them under my truck. Considering some 16's right now but only if it means more options on tires.

Well you know... Next time I see myself being a tad more careful haha. And you did in fact nearly get me arrested, but I digress...

You wouldn't need a new lift, just crank up the Billies and you could run my 265s on a 17" wheel for sure!

I might be down. Have a couple online master's classes so I might be busy with homework. I also have a powerlifting meet on the Oct 9th so that weekend I'll be busy with that.

A powerlifting meet? I lift, but I have never done that... I get sick of everyone trying to compare dicks just when I go to the gym. It actually does sound kinda cool though.

So what if it takes me forever to make a decision - especially when it comes to my truck. I was probably talking about tires back then too because I knew that the ones I have now wouldn't be in good enough shape to get me through the winter. I do expect to be taking the plunge before the end of the month. Just going to check with a couple of other local places first since my normal tire place isn't a goodyear dealer and I'm leaning towards DuraTracs right now.

You can have goals too...like you will fix your radiator once and for all by the end of the month. ;)
I need tires before the snow gets here or I'm going to be a one-woman demolition derby cruising through the streets on bald tires.

And my sig is also my screensaver here at the office. Seems to be a fitting attitude most days.

A one woman demolition derby... I laughed. Looked like a weirdo sitting here in the library chuckling with no apparent motive.

Tony... That is mine as well, but I figure when the 2012s come out they are bound to be BA. People might be parting out so I just may get my hands on one for a good price.

It's a good time and it is a sport that anybody can compete in. I just started competing this past year. I got my girlfriend into lifting weights. She's doing some old school barbell training instead of typical worthless girl workouts that include arm flapping with 1 lbs weights for "toning" and she's going to compete in the 105 lbs. weight class. A full meet consists of the squat, bench press, and deadlift in that order. The douchebags who think they are so tough in the gym surprising don't show up. I heard the term "brotherhood of iron" for powerlifting competitors since everyone is supportive and want people to do their best. I've had some 260 lbs+ guys who can lift what I lift as an easy warm up congratulate me when I pushed myself and got a PR or did well in my weight class. I've asked more experienced guys questions and had no attitude when I got answers. The Big Sky State Games have a competition in Billings in around July and then Phil Turner in Dillion puts on two meets. One is usually in April from what I've heard, and then my girlfriend and I are going to the one he puts on in October which is just for the bench press. There's a couple different federations so there might be other competitions around, but I'm not sure. The federation I compete in is the Amateur American Powerlifting Federation. The best way to find out is to search powerliftingwatch.com for any upcoming meets.

Okay, that's actually kind of badass from what you say. I am just starting to actually put on some weight and muscle now after about 6 months of frustration... We shall see. I'm one of those long armed tall mothers too so adding weight to my lifts is tough as well.

I wouldn't worry about gaining weight to lift. The weight classes for guys are from 114 lbs to 308+lbs. For girls it's 97 lbs to 198lbs+. There's also different age classes as well. I lifted in the 165 lbs weight class last December since I was around the low 170s and cut about 7 or 8 lbs for it. In July and earlier this month I competed in the 181 lbs weight class and cut down from the low 190s. Bench press isn't my strongest lift so I am going to compete in the 198 weight class and not cut anything for the meet in October. I'm mainly going down to help my girlfriend lift and I'm also switching my bench press techinque to a wide grip so I am not expecting much.

I think people wait until they feel "good enough" instead of competing and then never end up competing. It is also good to come out and be inspired by just real strong guys. One guy in July was in the 165 lbs weight class and benching 225 lbs, and the crowd was cheering him on just as much as the 260 lbs guy who lifted 445 lbs.

Well see, I am 6'3" and now just hit 200lbs this last week. I just want to fill out my frame a bit is all. I have a buddy who I lift with who is 165, and he hit 4x215 yesterday, so we were pretty excited! SInce you competitively lift, do you by chance ever heard of a guy with the last name of Rask (first name is Greg I believe)? He is resident huge guy that works out at the gym that I do.

I am guessing he might be your age... maybe a few years older. Short guy, almost looks like he could have a little bit of Latino in him. No idea what he used to look like though, he is just huge now.
