    Top of Morrison is easy...or it was 3 years ago. It's got good features and is beautiful and if you're lucky you will see Grizzly and wolf. Went up there yesterday with my brother who is visiting from SOCal and the damn gate was closed. They close it tip the 15th of July! So, we went over to Daisy and Lulu pass instead.

    And the top al the way to the switch backs? Vids I've seen the part right after the switch backs looks a bit rocky. Not horrible tho.

    Morrison itself I know is getting bad from what people have told me.

    You may be right but you really don't know for sure since you are about 5 million miles away right now. So you are guessing and hoping. :eek: And there is a guy on here that was there just yesterday. I know he knows for sure what the conditions were. :D

    Lol there is never snow there in August..I live there...so..ya. Not worried at all. It get over 75* up there all the time...

    Snow is not going to be an issue at all for us. Not with how dry it has been and hot.

    And it's only 3,100ish miles :p

    I will "hopefully" be going on a quick scouting mission next weekend. But Monte's right (wow, said that without laughing ;) ) snow won't be an issue on the roads...maybe a few drifts here and there in the shady areas. Were you hoping to make snowmen Mike?
    THis is what I mean by drifts...this was last July...

    I would bet most of hte snow is gone by now...August is practically fall up there.

    I'm going to try - just want to get a lay of the land and see what we're up against.

    I would think buckshot would just bounce off the bear. ;)

    I would rather have something a little larger more in the 50cal range.

    The pictures I ran across really looked great. Living in the smog infested area that I live in the pics you guys, and gals, post are so great looking. Everything is so clear, even the rain clouds.

    Reminds me of looking up in the sky during a rainstorm and seeing stars when I was in Vietnam back in the 70's.
