Thanks for the info! I was just looking at the maps on the Custer-Gallatin NF webpage when your notice popped up (I was on the struggle bus with my laptop trying to read the maps, need to use the desktop at home). I was also thinking long term when I am out and about this summer in the locations I frequent the most.

Anyone know when the gas stations switch over to summer blend gas? I want to watch my mileage and see if it makes any difference.

I hope that's off because I've not seen an MPG gain and could really use one!

I just filled up today, and I got a tad over 18 MPG in my 2014 4.0 Manual 4wd. Highway/city driving around the Flathead. This was after 4 straight tanks of 91 non-ethanol (which really means it has a little bit in it, not 10% ) . Since the start of April it's been roughly the same, about 18 MPG.

I switched to 87 E10 today. I'll run a few tanks thru it and see if my mileage goes down much.

    Thanks for the info, MTgirl.

Hello fellow Montanans. I have a friend that is interested in trading a 6" procomp lift for a 2"-3" lift. I told him I would see if anyone might be interested in a swap. Also I will have the OEM TRD Off Road suspension (29,XXX miles) from my truck for sale soon, I wanted to see if there would be any interest in it. I haven't opened a thread due to the suspension still being on the truck. If someone is interested in either the swap or the OEM suspension let me know via PM. Thanks!!

No thanks, I don't even want to lift 2-3" I think it might make weird vibrations happen. I'm happy with my stock wheels and tires. My Taco is way easier to work on than my Silverado was because it sits up so high with good ground clearance. It's way easier to scoot around under it on my garage floor.

At 60K miles I will get new shocks and springs, might lift a LITTLE bit, 2" max. But not until I wear out my stock stuff first.

I just met a guy here in Belgrade with a Taco who just got out of the Marines. Ran into him last night. Very cool.

If you like to be outside Montana is a great place.

You can't very easily swtich form a 6" lift to a 3". IF I recall right the procomp lift is a drop bracket lift? So unless he is doing some major work on it you can't? Things may have changed since I last looked at them though.
