Haha yeah I heard Bozeman got slammed. I'm not too far away over in the Ruby Valley. Wife said the drive from Whitehall was a nightmare Friday.

I always wanted a Super White truck to start a new build. I am mentally committed to never buying a truck with suspension work though as that is where people think that their stuff is gold plated and it's never what I want. I would however buy a truck with LT as I could let them absorb a lot of that cost. Now that I know for that Magnuson is making a blower for the 3rd gen if I were to buy a taco today I would probably go for a turd gen. I have a couple new goodies on my current rig anyway that have yet to be posted in my build... :spy:

Yea, I want to see what the S?C can do for the 3rd before I commit. Especially considering pops and I just left Ford lot for the 3rd time today lol.

Yeah, I am pretty much to the point now where the Chicago auto show is coming up in just 4 months. Hopefully a new Tundra becomes a reality... The new Ranger should show its face here soon as well. Plenty of things to look forward to potentially and I am in no rush to get rid of my truck again anyway. It has been treating me right and the few mods I did lately helped me to fall in love with it again which certainly helps.

Also, you know that my job situation is potentially in flux as well which doesn't motivate me to get under a car loan either.

Are you going this year? We talked about it but haven't in a while. To chicago that is.

If the tundra was finally updated..I would damn near take the shot in the dark on it.

I know your work situation, did I tell you about my resent change? Has me somewhat gun shy still, but also apprehensive to get my own personal vehicle and not just a work one.

If you buy a Turd and blow it... I know a guy who would love a cheap blower for a 2nd Gen.

LET'S DO IT. I am prepared for a long weekend in Chicago.

You told me about owning the whole shebang which is some right BS if you ask me...

If the buyer's market won't support the additional cost of a blower strapped on under the hood if/when it comes time to sell I would gladly let you get your hands on a cheap one.

Well will have to figure this out. I know I am supposed to have another trip in February, but I bet I could work them out if I plan for enough ahead. We should probably ad SEMA to next year as well.

Yea its a cluster****. I don't know what is going on, and my already overloaded shit just got doubled. Such is corporate life I guess.

I know a thing or two about what you are going through.

I NEED a SEMA trip sooner than later. 2018 sounds like a great candidate.

I mean might as well hit all the goodies in one year.

Just wait..my cooler idea will take off soon and we won't have to work a day in our life.

Can't say. Probably not. Even if it did the tread depth couldn't be very much!

Here is a little trick I learned for those sub freezing days and my driving habits. Using a quick disconnect, I attach a temperature compensated smart battery charger to my battery while I am parked near an AC power outlet. Keeping the battery full charged like this will apply the maximum power that the battery is capable of to the starter motor. It will prevent the battery from freezing and it will also compensate for my driving habits, for example, trips under five miles, that will not allow sufficient time for my vehicle's charging system to fully recharge the battery. For 12 years, I used a 1.25 amp Battery Tender Plus. In 2012, I started using a 10 amp Solar PL2310. There are other temperature compensating chargers like the Battery Minder, but the key is a temperature compensating charger, because in cold temperatures the charging voltage has to be increased to fully charge the battery. So far, the coldest temperature that I have started my Taco was -23 degrees F and had no problem.

Lisa, if you had slow starting this morning, check for terminal corrosion, low electrolyte levels or a low State-of-Charge level on your battery. If the latter, the battery, especially if it four or more years old is losing its CCA performance or the alternator is not able to keep it fully charged. Please have your battery tested at anywhere that sell batteries or stop by and I will test it for you. The key to an accurate test is that the battery need be over 50% charged.

I appreciate the offer - I generally have my tire guys check the battery every time I'm in for a rotation. All checks out good but it is the original (so probably getting on 6 yrs old). I have one of those battery pack jump starter things just in case. And I don't usually park outside but I do still have the tent on my rig so I don't fit in the garage...also didn't expect below zero weather so soon!
