    I think the city tried a new tactic for plowing our streets today. Perhaps in attempt to reduce blockage of our driveways they blocked our sidewalks.

    This ridge is on the section of sidewalk that crosses my driveway.

    I had a frozen 3 foot berm to shovel a few days ago. It blocked my garage and my parking area.

    Yep. City plow drivers here suck. They came down my street at about 40 mph. Almost hit a neighbor checking his mail. And almost ran over another neighbors pet bunny (he lets them roam free). There's usually 3 of them, saw 2 dart out of the way. Not sure where the 3rd was...

    There is now an active thread on a local Facebook group page. Handful of folks complaining about this snow plow issue happening to them. Several folks say they plan to call the city to complain in the morning. One young woman says she and another person spent 2 hours shoveling just so they could pull into their driveway.

    Mind you, I had 2" of snow in my driveway! TWO INCHES (granted it was heavy wet snow).

    I suspect the city is going to get an earful tomorrow. LOL The poor folks who answer their phones will wanna go home I'm betting.

    I've seriously never seen the city drive up onto driveways/sidewalks like this. The entire ridge they left behind was up on the concrete driveway... not even on the asphalt road.

    I worked a couple night shifts over the holiday. When I got home one night there was a knee high berm I had to shovel before I could park. I finally got into the house about 12:15 that night. Had to work the 7am shift the next morning, with a 45 minute commute.

    oh, they get plenty of calls every time the plows are out I'm sure.
    I called, they didn't care. Next time I happened to be out shoveling when the plow drove by. Held my snow shovel like a baseball bat and glared at the driver like I'd rip his balls off. He raised the plow and swerved away. Never had a problem the rest of that winter :D
