Anyone in the Bozeman area been out to Lewis and Clark this week? I had friends out there last weekend and they were riding, but I'm worried this moisture made it's way there as well.

God I hate the rent situation in Bozeman. My wife's dog (lab) makes it a pain in the ass to find a place to rent. I'm stuck in the middle of college student hell and want to find a new place instead of signing another year lease, but holy hell they're expensive if they allow a dog. I wanted to wait another year before trying to buy a place, but it seems like even at these prices it's cheaper to buy than rent. :annoyed:

Anyone have a perfect rental with a garage that allows dogs and wants to rent it for way less than they can get in this market?
Rent was so much cheaper in Portland

Check out the Saddleview appartments. I lived in a one bedroom unit last year with the GF, it had a storage unit that I converted into a bike shop. Super convenient location. Pricing is average.

I feel you. Living in the Stillwater valley is the same for all rentals. Either they are run down over priced POS or they are over priced. Even buying a nice place here though is ridiculous due to the miners.

Welcome to Boz-Angeles. You're learning why we call it that. :) College students and rich California people have ruined this town.

Have you tried looking in Belgrade? It's where all us "poors" live these days.

Whitefish has been getting bad for at least a decade. It's horrendous. Some contractor just built "affordable housing" townhouses. Starting at $300K

A room in a house for $500 a month + utilities is average here. A 2 bedroom house is $1500 and up. The $1500 house will be a "fixer upper"

I don’t understand what drives Bozeman's insane pricing. The whole place is surrounded by fields. It isn’t like Missoula where there is nowhere else to build in a reasonable distance.
