Thanks! Looks like a good place to stop for the first night. Hoping to explore both up and down river from there.

Wondering what time it all unraveled. When we got to Costco there was about a 2 foot deep lake on the parking lot. Couple of cars broke down. Got to make use of my snorkel. :mudding:

I'm on the west end area of Billings. It was quick... only lasted roughly 20 minutes. My first hail storm...crazy experience!

I lucked out. Bought a used Power Wagon from a guy yesterday in Billings and he had it out of his garage overnight... fortunately didn't see any damage on it... That would have sucked.

Hopefully I'm allowed to stay here now that my Tacoma is gone. Was hoping to meet up with some of you guys one of these days

Power wagons are cool. A few guys here at work want them because how capable they are. Lockers front and rear but being a 3/4 ton have the ability to tow as well and space of a full size.

That's pretty much exactly why I ended up with one. Maintain some offroad capacity, be able to tow a trailer if I end up getting one, and then the room inside. Man is there a lot of room. I'm just under 6'3" and still have my offensive line build from college football unfortunately, so fitting into the Tacoma for a long drive was getting painful. The big surprise was that I got about 0.5 mpg better in the power wagon than I did in my tacoma, on the drive between Billings and Bozeman. That average will probably go down a bit in the future though.

I had a 08 pw regular cab with manual transmission mileage was terrible but it would go damn near anywhere.

Width will be the only major thing that'll hold you back from going places in one of those. That and turning radius probably. But on 35s or 37s. Sucker will go a LOT of places.

I'm hoping so. I'm hoping to throw some 35s on it by winter. I've accepted the fact that I've gotta give up my goal of doing the Morrison, but this should be a good truck for the 2 week utah parks and colorado passes trip that I'm planning for next year. I got to the point where I didn't want to make any long day trips in the tacoma cause I was so cramped in it, so now I'm looking forward to getting out on some weekend trips and showing my wife what an awesome state we live in!

well if its cramping your style its not working. Hopefully this one does! Several trails you won't be able to do in that big rig. But still a TON of stuff you can do. So I wouldn't sweat it.

Cut & broke off some stuff.
I've wondered about something like that for wading/fishing. Any idea if i'd need to upsize to account for putting it over waders and jackets? Or how deep i could wade before vest starts lifting me off my feet?

They’re fairly adjustable size wise so u should be good there

As far as floating you in an unwanted fashion you’d have to be wading deep enough where you’d welcome the buoyancy lol
