Sounds like you had a good time, did you take the Tacoma or the Runner? We had a family reunion this week and I took a bunch of my cousins up there in two trips, they all had a blast. 2hr round trip from the cabin...

Its a fun trail but would not advise to do it in a full size. You'll come out with body damage. It gets very narrow between trees and brush

Hey Montana! I'm doing a roadtrip at the beginning of August to visit some buddies in Troy. I'm hoping to do some light wheeling/camping along the way. I was hoping to get some input from ya'll on what would be the best route to take/places to check out. Anything helps as I've never been through Montana or Wyoming. Thanks in advance!

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.

All three routes are bypassing Yellowstone. That's a mistake you don't want to make if you haven't been there yet. Numerous way to get in and out along your route. Won't be offroading but still very cool.

Most the trails where you're looking are in and out so that might screw up your timing.

At the very least go through Beartooths and Lamar. See Paradise Valley and then go from there.

    This^

Also reach out to @Hobbs, he JUST came through.

A little more about what you like would be helpful. Sight seeing? Just camping and off roading? Do you hike? Family, wife or kids coming?

How about don’t put a baby bison in your car and take it to the ranger station because your stupid ass thinks it’s cold... that one pissed me off.

Also watch out for tourist buses/vans. Seen too many accidents and poor driving by some of those folks. Most are not from our neck of the woods and drive a little more aggressive than what we normally have out here.

I'll be driving solo. Mainly just wanting to break up the driving with some good camp spots. I'd be open to a hike if there are any good ones along the way. Thanks for the help!
